"Is Daisuke coming back?" V-mon was positively bouncing with pent-up energy.
"Probably," Tailmon said.
"Humans have to go home and eat, and sleep," Patamon added. "And go to school. And other stuff." He waved an arm, vaguely, indicating he didn't quite know everything that humans did, but that there was plenty of stuff beyond going to the Digital World.
"But when will he be back? Tomorrow? Tonight? Oh, it already feels like I've been waiting forever."
"Soon," Patamon said. "He and Takeru and the others said they'd take care of the Digimon Kaiser."
Tailmon just sighed, turning once again to stare at the spot on her tail where her ring normally hung. She swished it, getting used to the feel. "If he's like this over one day, imagine what he'll be like if our partners are kept away for years, like last time."
