Donovan(UO's character) is a vata'sha (kind of a dark elf-y thing that occassionally crops up in human families). He was born the unacknowledged offspring of a corrupt Jarzoni priest, and spirited away to his world's equivalent of the Rom. He's a dancer and acrobat, with some magical ability that occasionally dabbles in the dark arts. He doesn't much like evil sorcerors, and I liked to quote Nietze towards Jennie about him (when you stare into the abyss, the abyss stares back) He has adopted Parisa as a sister.

Naria (Sara's character) is a rhycat -- an intelligent, psychic jaguar-sized cat with point markings -- psychically bonded to Parisa. Naria is none too bright, though she is very quick and attracted to shiny things. She is also one of the most easily distracted creates on the planet.

Parisa (Cassie's character) is the Designated Shoujo Heronie, a dabbler in magic trying to find what she wants out of life. She's a vata'an -- kind of a elf-y thing that occassionally crops up in human families. She is in love with Shay, bonded to Naria, Donovan's surrogate sister, keeps the group relativly cohesive, and the group healer.

Puriel (Uncreativity's character) is from Jarzon, a country to the east which has a rather patriarchal theocracy. Puriel is a priest of the religion there, following in his father's footsteps -- of course, then he discovers his father is part of the conspiracy he was investigating. He's a bit of a evangelical asshole (UC's words, not mine) but has a good heart and very easy to pick on. He has some of the better social skills of the group, but can't hit the broad side of a barn with a weapon. Post-game he ends up in a clandestine relationship with Donovan, despite it being forbidden.
