Melisan Lastin

Physical Description

Melisan is an androgynous-looking elfin person. He is pale, with white hair, cut roughly to his shoulders and green eyes. He is normally found in the red and gold robes of his office, with a flame medallion. He is also biologically female, though this is concealed by padding and bindings over most of his torso, under his robes. Despite this, I usually use male pronouns to refer to Melisan, as he acts male, has a female body, and doesn't really give a damn on the inside.

Personality

History

Melisan was born Livna, the daughter of a priest on the border of Jarzon (theocratic country) and Kern (country run by an undead sorcerer). He was a typical farm girl, aside from a tomboyish streak as a child, until her home village was attacked in a border skirmish when she was 13. All of his family, with the possible exception of an already-married older sister, was killed. Melisan set fire to the property himself to prevent the bodies rising as undead.

Assuming her younger brother's identity, he entered the priesthood, and started showing a mind for politics, rising in the ranks to become assistant to the Jarzoni ambassador to Aldis. Melisan's ultimate goal is to become the Heirophant, Jarzon's head of state and ultimate religious authority, and wipe Kern off the map. He got involved with the cast when examining some ruins, and ended up helping them root out a conspiracy against both Jarzon and Aldis.

Relationships

• Melisan trusts Bree and Parisa as his healers, since both know about his real sex.
• Puriel is Melisan's assistant and he's quite protective of him.
• Surprisingly, Melisan likes Donovan, and trades jokes with him.
